Bandai Candy, the popular candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced that the latest entry in their "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA" series, the "Destiny Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny", will be available for pre-order on August 21st as a Premium Bandai exclusive.
The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is the latest mobile suit developed by ZAFT under the direct orders of PLANT Supreme Council Chairman Gilbert Durandal, intended for the decisive battle against the Earth Alliance. Serving as the successor to ZAFT pilot Shin Asuka's previous machine, the Destiny Gundam was developed based on the Impulse Gundam's design. It integrates the capabilities of the Force, Blast, and Sword Silhouette systems into a single unit. Furthermore, it utilizes technologies prohibited by the Junius Treaty, such as the Hyper Deuterion Engine and Mirage Colloid. This allows it to deploy the "Wings of Light" for extreme acceleration and to scatter Mirage Colloid particles to create afterimages, granting it performance far superior to second-generation mobile suits like the Impulse Gundam.
The "G-FRAME FA Destiny Gundam" continues the series' signature articulated frame structure. Once assembled from its multi-colored parts in white, blue, red, yellow, and black, collectors will have a roughly 11 cm tall Destiny Gundam boasting a sharp design and intricate details. Its various joints offer flexible articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic combat poses.
The set includes a substantial array of armaments that would be difficult to pack into a standard release, such as a beam rifle, shield, the "Arondight" Beam Sword, and the High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon. It also comes with beam effects for the Beam Shield, Palm Beam Cannon, and Flash Edge 2 Beam Boomerang. To top it off, spectacular "Wings of Light" effect parts are included, which can be attached when the Destiny Gundam's iconic back wings are deployed.
