Japanese toy manufacturer TAKARA TOMY is bringing special designs from the Nintendo Switch 2 game "Pokémon Pokopia" into its popular MONCOLLE series. The first wave features four distinct figures: Ditto (Human Form), Pikachu (Pale), Ditto (Dragonite Form), and Professor Tangrowth. Each figure will retail for 715 JPY (tax included) and is slated for release on August 29, 2026. On the same day, the "Build It! Everyone's Town" playset, designed to complement the MONCOLLE figures, will also launch, allowing fans to integrate these "Pokémon Pokopia" characters directly into their own Pokémon towns.
In "Pokémon Pokopia," Ditto (Human Form) takes center stage as the protagonist. Players can collect materials with their Pokémon, build towns, learn different Pokémon moves, and even transform into Pokémon like Lapras and Dragonite to explore new areas. This initial MONCOLLE wave captures several memorable designs directly from the game. Notably, "Ditto (Dragonite Form)" retains Ditto's signature beady eyes and mouth, which, when combined with Dragonite's body, creates an adorably goofy appearance.
Another standout figure, "Pikachu (Pale)," represents a uniquely styled Pikachu from "Pokémon Pokopia." Officially described as having pale fur and drooping ears, it gives off a somewhat delicate look. "Professor Tangrowth" is also a game-exclusive design, featuring a reflective-mirror-like accessory on its head. These MONCOLLE figures faithfully scale down these unique details that differentiate them from their standard counterparts.
The official announcement also teased two more MONCOLLE figures: Ditto (Lapras Form) and Mosslax, scheduled for release on October 1, 2026. These upcoming additions will further expand the "Pokémon Pokopia" special designs within the series.
