The popular action figure line, S.H.Figuarts, from BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has teased a silhouette for its latest release from the hit anime "One Piece": Franky -Water Seven-. Further details are expected to be revealed at a later date.
Franky is the eighth member of the Straw Hat Pirates. His real name is Cutty Flam (カティ・フラム), a shipwright from Water Seven and the creator of the Thousand Sunny. After a tragic accident in his youth left the front of his body disfigured, he used his incredible engineering skills to transform himself into a cyborg, equipped with numerous weapons. Originally the boss of the Franky Family, a group of ship dismantlers, he initially clashed with the Straw Hat Pirates. However, after the events of Enies Lobby, Luffy recruited him to join the crew. His powerful armaments are fueled by cola; when his cola supply runs out, his signature pompadour deflates. His body is packed with exaggerated heavy weaponry, including the Strong Right, Weapon Left, Coup de Vent, Shield, Franky Centaur, Shoulder Machine Gun, and Fire Extinguisher, among others. His distinctive foreign accent and fondness for phrases like "super!" and "pervert" are key aspects of his character.
In the original story, Franky stands over two meters tall. While he might not be the tallest character in the entire "One Piece" S.H.Figuarts line, he will undoubtedly be the largest among the currently released Straw Hat Pirates. Collectors are eagerly anticipating the final product's display presence and how many of his signature weapon accessories will be faithfully recreated! With Franky's announcement, the pre-timeskip Straw Hat crew is now nearing completion. Imagining the entire crew lined up together is sure to be an impressive sight! We look forward to future releases like Brook, Jinbe, and the post-timeskip versions of other crewmates!
