Japanese capsule toy brand KITAN CLUB has teamed up with Masataro Toy Shop to launch a new series: the "Masataro Toy Shop Cat Action Figure" capsule toys. These adorable, fluffy felines are crafted into articulated figures, each measuring approximately 5.4cm in length. Boasting 6 points of articulation from head to tail, and featuring a soft, flocked finish, this collection includes 6 different types. Each capsule toy retails for 500 JPY and was released on August 21, 2026.
Each figure features 6 points of articulation across its head, front legs, hind legs, and tail. This extensive articulation allows collectors to pose them in a variety of natural cat movements, from standing on all fours to sitting, stretching, or even lying down. The majority of the body is treated with a flocked finish, giving these figures the soft, plush-toy-like appearance of real fur. In contrast, the eyes, collars, and the tag button on their rear are produced using separate parts, creating an appealing variation in material texture.
The complete lineup includes six charming feline varieties: "Tabby Cat," "Calico Cat," "Tuxedo Cat," "American Shorthair," "White Cat," and "Black Cat." Each cat shares the same articulated design, allowing for individual posing. Collectors can also arrange multiple figures together to recreate delightful everyday scenes of cats interacting and lounging.
