Kotobukiya, the renowned Japanese model kit manufacturer, has announced the latest addition to its popular bishoujo model kit series, "ARCANADEA." The new product, "Yukumo First Engage Ver.," is slated for release in March 2027.
Yukumo is a character designed by artist necömi, depicted as a beast-eared girl with a keen sense of fashion. Her design beautifully blends elements from Japanese mythology, drawing inspiration from both kitsune (fox spirits) and miko (shrine maidens), highlighted by her adorable, fluffy, massive tail. Despite her kind heart and aversion to conflict, she is shy, introverted, and struggles with social interaction. However, her willpower is exceptionally strong, and she never gives up until the very end.
The "Yukumo First Engage Ver." is an upgraded edition featuring newly designed face parts and revised structural components. The included "smiling face" and "flustered face" are both pre-painted and have been re-drawn based on the TV anime illustrations, with the blush coloring adjusted to be more vibrant. The calf parts now feature a front-and-back split construction for less noticeable seam lines. Additionally, the non-articulated tail, along with the newly sculpted back knot, brings the overall aesthetic closer to her anime appearance.
This model kit also incorporates a new double-jointed elbow design, a new knee joint structure, and new part separation for the back knot, all of which significantly enhance the base body's articulation. Accessories include a staff-type exclusive weapon and five pairs of interchangeable PVC hand parts. This product only includes Yukumo's main body and a few accessories. To recreate her combat form, you will need to combine it with various parts included in the separately sold standard version of "Yukumo."
Furthermore, the product will include a serial code for in-game items usable in the mobile game "ARCANADEA - Gleam Gatherers -," granting players a "Stamina Drink x1" and "Recruitment Ticket x3."
