BANDAI SPIRITS' BANDAI HOBBY division, known for its extensive 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, has announced the latest addition from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ": the "HG 1/144 Hamma Hamma", slated for release in March 2027!

The AMX-103 Hamma Hamma was an experimental mobile suit developed by Neo Zeon under Haman Karn, designed for high-ranking officers. It featured a "Quasi-Psycommu System" intended to allow even regular pilots and less powerful Newtypes to control it with ease. Its most distinctive feature was its four cable-connected arms, capable of extending up to 50 meters. While boasting performance superior to the Z Gundam, the Hamma Hamma never entered mass production due to an unrefined Quasi-Psycommu System, high operational difficulty caused by its powerful thrust, and overall poor cost-effectiveness and balance. Ultimately, only two prototypes were built, with one famously appearing in the series as Mashymre Cello's personal mobile suit.

The "HG 1/144 Hamma Hamma" boasts proportions that are shorter and more faithful to its original anime appearance compared to previous kits. Its wide skirt armor further emphasizes its stocky, powerful stance. Both the dual claws and the mono-eye feature independent articulation. The arms and hip sections incorporate pull-out mechanisms to enhance poseability across various parts. A major highlight is the recreation of its extendable arm gimmick using soft wires. Furthermore, the shield can mount a Beam Saber and features a sliding rail mechanism to replicate its mine deployment effect!
