Over three years ago, Warner Bros. Pictures and Ryan Gosling successfully teamed up to bring Mattel's "Barbie" doll to life in a live-action film, creating a global blockbuster that grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide. Now, they're setting their sights on another classic IP, preparing to replicate that success. Today, entertainment outlet Deadline exclusively reported that Gosling and Warner Bros.' next target for a live-action adaptation is the iconic 1960s cartoon, "The Flintstones."

"The Flintstones" previously saw two live-action film adaptations in the 1990s and early 2000s. However, Deadline notes that this new iteration will center on Fred and Wilma's adopted son, Bamm-Bamm Rubble, focusing on his adult life. While Gosling is currently attached only as a producer through his company, Open Invite, his starring role is not yet confirmed. Additionally, a writer and director have not yet been finalized, but the search for a screenwriter to develop the concept has already begun.
