Prime 1 Studio, the renowned Japanese statue manufacturer, has officially opened pre-orders for the "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" Bonus Version from its "LEGACY ART" series. This monumental piece brings to life the classic poster created by Japanese illustrator Noriyoshi Ohrai for the 1991 film, capturing the intense battle between Godzilla and King Ghidorah, complete with a submarine emerging from the sea and missiles soaring through the air. Standing approximately 82cm tall, 61cm wide, and 66cm deep, this impressive diorama is priced at $2,799 USD and is slated for release between January and April 2028.
The statue is meticulously based on Noriyoshi Ohrai's iconic "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" poster. It depicts King Ghidorah with its three heads entwined around Godzilla, wings majestically spread, while Godzilla retaliates by gripping two of the colossal heads. The dynamic proportions of the monsters and submarine, originally adjusted for dramatic effect in the two-dimensional artwork, are faithfully translated into a stunning three-dimensional composition. A striking color contrast is achieved with a dark blue-gray Godzilla battling against a golden King Ghidorah.
Beyond the primary poster-inspired sculpts, both Godzilla and King Ghidorah come equipped with two interchangeable head sculpts, allowing collectors to switch between the Noriyoshi Ohrai poster rendition and a more movie-accurate interpretation. Adding to the spectacle, LED light-up features are integrated into King Ghidorah's three heads to simulate its devastating Gravity Beams, as well as at the submarine's missile launch points, perfectly complementing the original poster's intense battle scene.
This LAHG-01S is the Bonus Version, which includes an exclusive "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" movie title logo display plate, measuring approximately 17cm tall and 29cm wide. This bonus accessory allows for an even closer recreation of the original movie poster's layout when displayed alongside the main statue. The Bonus Version is a global limited edition of only 500 units, with the main statue weighing approximately 31.12kg.
