BANDAI SPIRITS' Tamashii Nations collectible toy division has officially unveiled a special new Figuarts ZERO pre-painted statue, "Kamen Rider vs. Cobra Man," to commemorate the 55th anniversary of "Kamen Rider." The statue is priced at 24,200 JPY and is slated for release in February 2027.
Sculpted by Takeshi Saito of Shonen ☆ Geppetto modeling studio, renowned as the foremost sculptor of Shotaro Ishinomori's characters, this piece immortalizes the classic flying kick scene from the "Kamen Rider" manga, pitting Kamen Rider against Cobra Man. Standing approximately 30 cm tall, the statue's three-dimensional form exquisitely captures the simple lines of Ishinomori-sensei's original artwork. It cleverly employs exaggerated perspective to perfectly depict Kamen Rider dodging Cobra Man's destructive beam and descending from above to deliver a powerful Rider Kick!
The sculpting meticulously reproduces Kamen Rider's battle suit, with his compound eyes utilizing clear parts featuring intricate internal detailing. Cobra Man's chest, dented from the flying kick, and the wrinkles in his costume are also exquisitely rendered. The paint application is equally impressive, featuring rich, saturated colors that evoke a strong Showa-era feel. The impact point on Cobra Man's chest is highlighted with airbrushing techniques. The diorama base is encircled by translucent, colorful whirlwind and destructive beam effects, all perfectly showcasing Kamen Rider's heroic stance against the monster!
