JAL Passenger Jet Transforms! Tomica Heroes Jobraver Unveils the Massive TJBDX DX Sky Braver JAL Jet Passenger Plane, Featuring Re-Link Special Combination and Standing 40cm Tall – Pre-Orders Open Now for October Launch!

TAKARA TOMY, the Japanese toy giant behind the popular "TOMICA" die-cast car series, has announced an exciting new collaboration with Japan Airlines (JAL). This partnership brings forth a massive transforming and combining toy, the "TOMICA Heroes Jobraver TJBDX DX Sky Braver JAL Jet Passenger Plane". This impressive collectible is priced at 9,350 JPY (tax included) and is slated for release in Japan in early October 2026.

The set includes a detailed "JAL Jet Passenger Plane" Armor Vehicle and three "Jobroid" figures, representing a pilot, a male flight attendant, and a female flight attendant. Through its "Re-Link Special Combination" feature, the passenger jet, boasting a wingspan of approximately 40 cm and a fuselage length of about 48.5 cm in vehicle mode, transforms into a towering robot. This "Sky Braver" robot stands approximately 40 cm tall and wide, making it one of the largest items in the series.

The robot's design pays homage to JAL's iconic branding, with its large, unfolded wings and vertical stabilizers echoing the airline's "Tsurumaru" (crane) logo. The robot's head also incorporates a crane motif. The three included Jobroid figures meticulously replicate the actual JAL uniforms: flight attendants sport charcoal gray uniforms accented with red ties or scarves, while the pilot's uniform features four gold stripes on the sleeves, just like the real thing.

Exclusive weaponry for this collaboration also draws inspiration from aviation. A miniature suitcase transforms into the unique "Cockpit Sword", while a cargo container emblazoned with the JAL logo unfolds into the "Container Shield Q9-C49". In its passenger jet form, the toy features a cargo launcher mechanism; simply load a container into the fuselage and press a button on top to eject it from the belly. This feature is compatible with the included container, as well as some other series Armor Vehicles or TOMICA die-cast cars.

The "Tomica Heroes Jobraver Tokuso Gattai Robo" series, which began as a web animation and toy line in 2022, centers around the theme of "common city jobs." It features "Jobroid" figures, each representing a different profession, that combine with corresponding "Armor Vehicles" to form specialized "Jobraver" heroes who protect the city. As of March 2026, the animated series has garnered over 50 million views, and the toy line has shipped more than 1.5 million units.

To coincide with the toy's release, the "Sky Braver JAL Jet Passenger Plane" will be featured in three consecutive episodes of the "Tomica Heroes Jobraver" YouTube animation, airing between October and December 2026. The latest story arc for "Tomica Heroes Jobraver" began streaming on March 7, 2026, with 13 episodes, each approximately 5 minutes long.

TAKARA TOMY, with assistance from JAL, gained special access to a normally restricted JAL hangar to film a promotional video for the product. This special collaborative video, titled "Jobraver HEADLINE", will be available on the YouTube channel "TAKARA TOMY Channel" starting August 26, 2026. Beyond showcasing the new toy, the video will also offer viewers a rare glimpse into the real-world operations of the aviation industry.
