BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan, has officially announced a brand-new line of highly articulated Gundam figures called "ABSOLUTE ACT." The first release in this series will be the "Strike Freedom Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny," slated for a March 2027 launch.
The new "ABSOLUTE ACT" series focuses on maximizing articulation in its pre-painted finished figures. Each mobile suit stands approximately 18 cm tall and incorporates the innovative "ABSOLUTE ACTION SYSTEM." This advanced joint system features a waist swivel-and-slide mechanism, an extending neck joint, pull-out shoulder joints, multi-directional ankle articulation, and a single-axis knee joint. These designs ensure that the figures maintain their sleek, iconic silhouettes while achieving an unprecedented range of motion.
The debut "Strike Freedom Gundam" figure boasts a significantly redesigned armor surface, building upon its anime silhouette. This reinterpretation adds intricate details and layered textures, enhancing the sharp angles and edge lines to convey a robust, weapon-like solidity. Accessories include two beam rifles, two beam sabers, beam shield effects for both arms, three pairs of interchangeable hands, and a multi-directional display stand.
Thanks to the "ABSOLUTE ACTION SYSTEM" and the deployable mechanisms of its back-mounted Mobile Weapon Wing Binders (Super DRAGOONs) and waist-mounted Xiphias 3 Railguns, the Strike Freedom Gundam can strike incredibly dynamic battle poses, from flying and leaping to firing its rifles and wielding its beam sabers. The legs feature exceptional ground contact and highly flexible knee joints, allowing for iconic poses like the single-knee-down sniper stance with both beam rifles connected.
