To build anticipation for the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," set to hit theaters later this year, Marvel Studios is preparing a grand re-release next month of "Avengers: Endgame" with a brand-new extended cut titled "Avengers: Endgame Encore." The first trailer for this special theatrical event was recently unveiled.

Marvel had previously announced that this extended version would not merely reintroduce deleted scenes but would also feature specially shot new footage. While the studio has kept details about the new content under wraps, reports surfaced yesterday revealing some of the fresh material.

Marvel Insights, an X platform known for breaking news within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, posted yesterday claiming that, according to their sources, Marvel may have reshot all of Cassie Lang’s scenes in "Endgame" for the upcoming extended cut.

As fans know, the adult version of Cassie Lang in "Endgame" was originally portrayed by Emma Fuhrmann. However, when production began on "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," Marvel recast the role with the more experienced and higher-profile Kathryn Newton.

Marvel Insights suggests that Newton was brought back to reshoot Fuhrmann's original scenes. The decision to reshoot was reportedly made for narrative continuity, aiming to create a more seamless connection between "Endgame" and "Doomsday."
