TAMASHII NATIONS, Bandai Spirits' collector's toy division, is set to release the latest entry in its "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series, which features finished mecha figures combining metallic paint finishes with die-cast frames. The new item, part of the "METAL ROBOT Damashii x Gundam hololive" collaboration, is the "METAL ROBOT Damashii
The MSN-04 Sazabi, originating from the film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack", served as the personal mobile suit for Neo Zeon leader Char Aznable. Representing the culmination of Zeon mobile suit technology, this massive 26-meter tall mobile suit boasts exceptional agility despite its size, thanks to its high-output propulsion system. Equipped with a Psycoframe, it allowed Char to fully unleash his Newtype abilities, deftly controlling up to six Funnels for versatile attacks. This collaboration with Gundam hololive sees the Sazabi painted in the signature colors of hololive Generation 0 talent, Hoshimachi Suisei. In conjunction with this release, a series of short stories, collaborative songs, and special music videos are planned, with other merchandise projects also in full swing!
The "METAL ROBOT Damashii Sazabi [Hoshimachi Suisei Ver.]" stands approximately 16 cm tall. This is a repaint version of the "METAL ROBOT Damashii Sazabi" released earlier this year, featuring a full die-cast frame for structural integrity and a premium feel. The mobile suit's body primarily showcases Hoshimachi Suisei's signature dark blue and metallic blue, accented with vibrant orange details on the thrusters. It also sports numerous collaboration tampo-printed markings unique to Hoshimachi Suisei on areas like the shoulders, front skirt, and shield. The figure retains all the intricate mechanical details of the standard release, including extendable arm frames and calf armor that can dramatically open in three sections. Weapon accessories include a "Beam Shot Rifle" with a sliding mechanism and interchangeable magazines, a "Beam Tomahawk" that can combine with effect parts to form a giant beam saber, a "Shield", six deployed "Funnels", and a dedicated display stand. A variety of hand parts are included for dynamic posing, and it also comes with a special display base featuring exclusive artwork!
▼Also available for simultaneous release is the "METAL ROBOT Damashii Nu Gundam [Sakura Miko Ver.]". Be sure to collect both to complete your Gundam hololive display!
