BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand, BANPRESTO, is set to unleash a new entry in its "MAXIMATIC" figure series, known for its impressive scale and high satisfaction. The latest release features Ken Kaneki from the popular anime "Tokyo Ghoul" and is slated for a January 2027 release as a prize item.

"Tokyo Ghoul" is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida, serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" from 2011 to 2014. Studio Pierrot adapted it into a TV anime in 2014. The story follows ordinary college student Ken Kaneki, who, after a fateful encounter, transforms into a flesh-eating "Ghoul" and must navigate a brutal world.

This MAXIMATIC Ken Kaneki figure stands approximately 19 cm tall. It captures his appearance from the second season, "Tokyo Ghoul √A," specifically after he awakened and joined the Aogiri Tree organization to gain strength and protect his comrades. The figure depicts him in a dynamic, battle-ready pose, with his hand extended forward, poised to strike. Sculpting meticulously recreates the wrinkles and textures of his black battle suit, while the iconic one-eyed mask details are finely reproduced. His coat features both matte and glossy paint finishes, effectively differentiating between leather and fabric textures. Furthermore, intricate paintwork brings to life details like his intensely murderous "Kakugan" (red ghoul eye) and black fingernails, perfectly capturing his formidable aura from the series.
