Japanese figure manufacturer quesQ (Kyuesu Q Co., Ltd.), renowned for its extensive lineup of high-quality character figures, has officially announced a new product based on the classic anime "Astro Boy." The "Atom" pre-painted figure will have a suggested retail price of 14,080 JPY and is slated for release in July 2027!
Created by the legendary Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka, "Astro Boy" (Tetsuwan Atom) stands as Tezuka-sensei's inaugural long-running serialized work. The beloved story follows Atom, a young android boy, as he actively strives for peace and welfare in the 21st century.
This new Atom pre-painted figure measures approximately 13 cm tall, capturing the iconic character in a charming, obedient sitting pose with his knees hugged close. Crafted from PVC with some ABS parts, the figure faithfully recreates Atom's signature look from the series. His face features intricately sculpted, recessed eye sockets, complemented by delicate transfer printing that brings his bright, expressive eyes to life as they gaze upwards and to the left. The figure's body is painted in a gentle skin tone, while his green belt boasts a pearlescent finish. His red boots are rendered with a smooth, glossy texture, creating a polished look. This multi-layered color application, combined with the overwhelmingly cute and irresistible pose, makes this figure a must-have for fans!
