Dark Horse Direct, the collectibles brand under independent American comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics, has announced a new line of merchandise based on the popular video game spin-off anime series "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners"! This article focuses on the new Lucy painted figure, priced at $69.99 USD. Pre-orders are now open on the Dark Horse Direct official website, with an estimated release window of May to July 2027.
As a child, Lucy was trained by the Arasaka Corporation to become a Netrunner, collecting data from the Old Net, making her highly valuable to the corporation. She introduced David to the world of Edgerunners, later developing a romantic relationship with him. Her dream was to reach the moon with David, but ultimately, she achieved that dream alone.
This Lucy painted figure stands approximately 17.6 cm tall, capturing her in a dynamic, elegant pose, kneeling on one knee after unleashing a graceful yet deadly attack. The sculpt beautifully showcases her graceful physique and the intricate folds of her white jacket. Her iconic gradient hair color is faithfully recreated through detailed paint application. A minor point of concern is the slightly close-set eyes on the face sculpt; hopefully, the final production run will see improvements to the facial printing.
The figure's stylized base, shared with other concurrently released characters, is inspired by Night City's urban landscape and features the "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" logo on the front. A standout feature is the use of UV-reactive paint on both Lucy's Monowire weapon and illuminated parts of the base, allowing them to glow with a neon radiance in the dark, echoing Night City's vibrant atmosphere! Furthermore, Lucy can be displayed alongside the simultaneously released David, Rebecca, and Adam Smasher figures to fully showcase the powerful allure of the Edgerunners.
