Dark Horse Direct, the collectibles brand under independent American comic publisher Dark Horse Comics, has announced a new line of merchandise based on the hit video game spin-off anime series "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners"! Among these exciting new releases is the highly anticipated Adam Smasher painted figure, now available for pre-order on the Dark Horse Direct official website, with an estimated release window of May to July 2027.
Adam Smasher is infamous for his nearly 100% full-body cybernetic conversion, his utterly brutal personality, and his overwhelming combat prowess. In the climactic final episode, "My Moon My Man," as David Martinez and Lucy Kushinada attempted to escape with their allies, they were relentlessly hunted by the mercenary Adam Smasher. Fan-favorite Rebecca, having just reunited with the group, was mercilessly crushed by the descending Adam Smasher mere seconds later.
This Adam Smasher painted figure stands at a substantial 25.5 cm (approximately 10 inches), perfectly capturing his imposing physique compared to other characters. The sculpt depicts him in a triumphant, dominant pose, holding aloft a torn neural system. It faithfully recreates the intricate details of his full-body cybernetic armor and the iconic smart shotgun in his hand, with meticulous paintwork capturing the overall lighting, shading, and weathering effects.
The display base is consistent with other figures in the line, featuring a stylized design that evokes the Night City aesthetic and prominently displays the "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" logo on the front. This base utilizes UV-reactive paint for its light sources and lettering, allowing it to glow with a neon luminescence reminiscent of Night City once sufficiently charged with light and then viewed in the dark. Furthermore, collectors can display Adam Smasher alongside the concurrently released David, Lucy, and Rebecca figures to fully capture the powerful allure of the Edgerunners!
