TAKARA TOMY's high-end toy brand, T-SPARK, is expanding its "Dramatic Capture Series," which focuses on recreating iconic movie scenes, with a new release from "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The latest addition, "Optimus Prime & Jetfire," is priced at 15,400 JPY (tax included) and was released on August 29, 2026.
One of the most unforgettable moments from "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is undoubtedly the epic super combination of Jetfire and Optimus Prime! In the film, a gravely wounded former Decepticon, Jetfire, willingly sacrificed his Spark to Optimus Prime after The Fallen stole the newly resurrected Prime's Matrix of Leadership. With the help of Wheelie and Brains, the "Jetfire Optimus Prime" combined form was achieved. In this powerful state, Optimus Prime single-handedly confronted both Megatron and The Fallen, ultimately destroying The Fallen and forcing a heavily damaged Megatron to retreat. This incredible power and striking combined appearance left a lasting impression on countless fans and moviegoers!
The "Dramatic Capture Series Optimus Prime & Jetfire" marks the seventh installment in the line. This set includes both Optimus Prime and Jetfire, recreating their in-film height difference using previously released molds, but now featuring more movie-accurate color schemes. Optimus Prime transforms into his classic truck mode, adorned with flame decals across his disguised form, and boasts a beautiful red-to-gold gradient on the front cab. His robot mode faithfully captures the film's robust physique and features excellent articulation. His weapons include energy swords for both hands and an Ion Blaster. Jetfire transforms into the iconic SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance jet, and his robot mode presents a massive, elderly appearance. His armaments include a staff and a twin-headed axe. Finally, the most anticipated feature is the combination! Through Jetfire's disassembly and transformation, he can spectacularly combine with Optimus Prime to recreate the awe-inspiring "Jetfire Optimus Prime" form, capable of wielding a giant cannon and both characters' individual weapons!
