BYZOOM FITNESS, a home fitness brand, has once again teamed up with "Dragon Ball Z" to launch its officially licensed Vol. 2 collection. This time, the series shifts its focus to the franchise's iconic villains, with Frieza and Majin Buu taking over two key weight training equipment pieces. The lineup features a five-stage adjustable kettlebell with a maximum weight of 22.6kg (approximately 50 lbs) and a five-stage adjustable dumbbell with a maximum weight of 10kg (approximately 22 lbs). Additionally, the collection includes a Capsule No. 9 massage roller, a One-Star Dragon Ball fitness ball, and natural rubber massage balls featuring the One-Star to Seven-Star Dragon Balls. The Frieza kettlebell and Majin Buu dumbbell are priced at NT$6,980 and NT$4,480 respectively, with shipments expected to begin sequentially from late August 2026.
The Frieza Kettlebell allows users to switch between five weight settings with a single unit: 4.5kg (approximately 10 lbs), 9kg (approximately 20 lbs), 13.6kg (approximately 30 lbs), 18.1kg (approximately 40 lbs), and 22.6kg (approximately 50 lbs). Its design features the character's signature white and purple color scheme. The weight indicators draw inspiration from the classic lines of Frieza's face, while the sides incorporate Frieza and his iconic spaceship motif. These character elements are subtly integrated into what would otherwise be purely functional fitness equipment. The kettlebell also boasts a patented slot structure and an ergonomic curved design.
The Majin Buu dumbbell is an adjustable unit with a maximum weight of 10kg (approximately 22 lbs). It offers five weight settings to suit various training needs: 2kg (approximately 4.4 lbs), 4kg (approximately 8.8 lbs), 6kg (approximately 13.2 lbs), 8kg (approximately 17.6 lbs), and 10kg (approximately 22 lbs). The shell features the character's representative pink, yellow, and black colors. The sides incorporate the "M" symbol, signifying his Majin status, and the pull-pin for weight adjustment is inspired by Buu's signature green tongue. These iconic character features are cleverly hidden within the equipment's details.
This series doesn't stop at just dumbbells and kettlebells. Bulma's "Capsule No. 9" has been transformed into an approximately 42cm (about 16.5-inch) EVA massage roller. The One-Star Dragon Ball is supersized into a 75cm (about 29.5-inch) diameter fitness ball, complete with a two-way fast pump. Additionally, the One-Star to Seven-Star Dragon Balls are now approximately 6cm (about 2.4-inch) diameter natural rubber massage balls. The One-Star Dragon Ball version includes a special collector's box designed to hold all seven Dragon Balls, allowing fans to truly "collect" them all at home.
The official team has indeed turned "collecting Dragon Balls" into a promotional event. Purchasing the Capsule Massage Roller or the One-Star Dragon Ball Fitness Ball comes with a unique serial number card, which can be registered on the official website for a chance to win prizes. Furthermore, collecting all seven BYZOOM stickers found inside the Dragon Ball massage ball packaging allows you to redeem a "Dragon Ball Z Shenron PVC Fitness Mat 6mm" at designated stores and gain another entry into the prize draw. The event is scheduled to run until January 31, 2027.
