TOHO's Godzilla has joined forces with Sanrio for a new collection of blind-boxed mini sofubi figures. Following an earlier collaboration that dressed seven Sanrio favorites—including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll—in costumes based on Godzilla designs from across the franchise, those adorable looks have now been turned into collectibles. The lineup includes Random Mini Sofubi Figures and 3D Mascot Keychains. The sofubi series features six standard designs and one secret figure, priced at ¥880 each with tax included. The keychains come in seven selectable character designs, priced at ¥1,430 each with tax included. Both products were released on September 4, 2026.
The crossover continues the concept of Sanrio stars suited up as different versions of Godzilla. The lineup includes the original 1954 Godzilla and 1995's Burning Godzilla, along with Godzilla's Second and Fourth Forms from 2016's "Shin Godzilla". Each design squeezes the King of the Monsters' massive, kaiju-heavy silhouette onto the delightfully round body of a Sanrio character.
The Random Mini Sofubi Figures are made from soft PVC and feature six standard designs: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin, plus Hangyodon. One secret figure rounds out the seven-design assortment. Drawing from earlier crossover designs based on Godzilla (1954), Burning Godzilla, and "Shin Godzilla," the collection recreates each Sanrio character in a kaiju costume as a palm-sized sofubi figure. Even Godzilla's huge jaws, dorsal fins, and chunky physique have been shrunk down to an adorably compact scale.
The collection also includes 3D Mascot Keychains, turning the costumed Sanrio characters into fully sculpted charms. Seven selectable designs are available: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, My Sweet Piano, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin, plus Hangyodon. Each keychain is made from PVC with metal hardware.
