Kotobukiya, the renowned Japanese model kit manufacturer, has announced the latest addition to its "Arcanadea" Bishoujo plastic model kit series, which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements. The new character, Banil, is slated for release in February 2027.
Designed by illustrator Nidy-2D-, the new character Banil is a demon-type DEARS and the twin sister of another DEARS, Enil. Both are pillars of the "Seven Demon Lances," the strongest in the demon race. Banil charges head-on while Enil provides calm support from the rear. They can also fight alongside their shared dog-type familiars, Kuro and Shiro, combining into a powerful battle form. While Banil appears mature and dependable, she's also a complete doting older sister, losing all composure when her younger sister acts cute.
The "Arcanadea Banil" kit has been thoroughly supervised by Nidy-2D-. It faithfully recreates Banil's signature blonde hair, dark brown skin, and "gyaru" (gal) style outfit as a plastic model. Through precisely molded, multi-colored parts, the kit showcases her voluptuous physique, toned abdominal lines, and intricate knit patterns on her clothing. The base body features highly flexible articulation, and the kit includes four pre-printed face parts along with a total of 11 interchangeable hand parts.
In her standard form, Banil's clothing parts are designed with segmented construction to minimize visible seam lines. The front of her skirt features an articulation mechanism that won't hinder leg movement, and both her scarf and skirt can be freely attached or removed. Her extensive articulation includes movable long hair at the back, double-jointed elbows, articulated sleeves on both wrists, a newly designed hip joint, and pull-out knee joints, allowing for a wide range of sexy and adorable poses.
The product also includes Banil's dog-type XenoAlma familiar, "Kuro." In addition to its own flexible articulation, Kuro's body can be disassembled into various weapons to combine with Banil for her battle form. In this combined state, Kuro transforms into articulated wings, armor, a long sword, and a massive arm, which attach to various parts of Banil's body. The large arm boasts highly articulated fingers. Furthermore, by combining with "Shiro" from the upcoming Enil kit, collectors can create a powerful form equipped with massive arms on both sides.
