Danish toy company LEGO Group has officially announced a new addition to its LEGO Ideas series: the "21371 Wallace & Gromit" set. This exciting release will have a suggested retail price of $99.99 USD and is scheduled for global release on October 1, 2026.
"Wallace & Gromit" is a beloved stop-motion clay animation comedy produced by the British studio Aardman Animations. The series includes four short films and two feature-length movies, chronicling the daily lives and whimsical adventures of the good-natured, eccentric amateur inventor Wallace and his clever canine companion, Gromit.
The "Wallace & Gromit" set is based on the winning submission by fan designer Pidelium from the "90s Throwback – The Next Chapter!" challenge. This buildable set faithfully recreates Wallace and Gromit riding their iconic red motorcycle, making it a perfect commemorative piece for Aardman Animations' 50th anniversary!
Here's the original submission by fan creator Pidelium:
While faithfully preserving the original fan design, the LEGO Ideas design team incorporated several refinements and clever touches. The redesigned set comprises 1,038 pieces. Both Wallace and Gromit figures utilize smooth, rounded elements from head to toe, perfectly capturing the classic visual style of Aardman's claymation. The red motorcycle's overall shape has been refined to be even more faithful to its animated counterpart! Wallace's signature bashful smile is recreated with a new printed piece for his mouth, and his head can pivot up, down, left, and right to adjust his gaze. Gromit also features head articulation, and his helmet now includes an unbuckled strap, allowing for dynamic posing to simulate it flapping in the wind during high-speed rides! His goggles, made from two magnifying glass elements, can even be posed up or down with his articulated arms, creating an incredibly charming look!
