Nearly two weeks after "Justice League" director Zack Snyder dropped a brief teaser trailer for his new action film, "The Last Photograph," on X (formerly Twitter), the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced the movie will screen for audiences on September 10th. Alongside the announcement, TIFF also released a second, more extensive official trailer on its YouTube channel.
The film is currently seeking a distributor, with reports indicating that several prospective buyers who have seen the movie found its content excessively violent (the trailer itself features numerous blood-splattering and head-exploding scenes) and its production quality subpar. Snyder is now hoping that the TIFF premiere will attract more potential distributors.

The screenplay for "The Last Photograph" was co-written by Snyder and Kurt Johnstad, who previously collaborated with Snyder on the "300" series and "Rebel Moon." The duo has been developing the project on and off since 2007. The film stars Stuart Martin and Fra Fee, both of whom are also part of the "Rebel Moon" cast. A release date has not yet been set.

"The Last Photograph" follows a former DEA agent whose diplomat niece and nephew are tragically murdered. To find his missing relatives, he must return to the South American mountains and seek assistance from a washed-up, drug-addicted war photographer—the only person who has seen the killer's face. As he embarks on this perilous journey, he quickly discovers he must also confront shadows from his own past. Together, the two embark on an unknown path, questioning everything they once believed as the line between reality and the surreal begins to blur.
