Japanese miniature and capsule toy brand Kenelephant is transforming Kaigen Pharma’s classic Kaigen cold medicine brand into the Kaigen Goods Collection capsule toy series. Familiar packaging and brand imagery become functional everyday accessories across five designs: the Kaigen coin purse, Kaigen Tablets coin purse, acrylic charm, and metal keychain, plus a signboard reusable bag. Each capsule is priced at 400 yen, with the collection scheduled for release in September 2026.

First introduced in 1924, Kaigen has been sold in Japan for more than a century. The familiar “Fujin-san” mascot on its packaging was inspired by the Wind God depicted in Tawaraya Sōtatsu’s "Wind God and Thunder God Screens." The character also appeared in a 1982 television commercial with the memorable catchphrase “Kaze hiite mannen.” Kenelephant has packed all of that unmistakable Showa-era pharmaceutical charm into this capsule toy lineup.

The two coin purses recreate the packaging for Kaigen powdered cold medicine and Kaigen Tablets, turning boxes normally found in the medicine cabinet into zippered accessories you can carry anywhere. The signboard reusable bag takes the familiar Kaigen street sign and turns it into a fully functional shopping bag. Folded up, it looks like a compact piece of branded merchandise; open it, and it is ready to head out the door. The acrylic charm goes one step further by placing powder inside its transparent body to mimic Kaigen medicine inside the original package. Rounded out by the metal keychain, the collection covers everything from medicine boxes and powder packets to outdoor signage, transforming an unlikely cold medicine theme into a wonderfully nostalgic set of lifestyle accessories.
