HMA Turns the Viral Dekachichibato “Big-Boobed Pigeon” Graduation Project Into Capsule Toys

Japanese toy maker HMA has announced a capsule toy series based on this year’s viral sensation, “Dekachichibato”. The new Dekachichibato Palm-Sized Figures shrink the enormous, exceptionally well-endowed pigeon sculpture into collectibles that fit in the palm of your hand. The lineup includes five designs, priced at 400 yen per capsule including tax, and is scheduled to launch in December 2026.

Dekachichibato began as artist Jouki’s graduation project. The original is a massive sculpture pairing a pigeon’s adorably vacant face with an enormous bust. After making its debut at the Musashino Art University graduation exhibition in January 2026, the piece quickly went viral on social media. Jouki also shared a behind-the-scenes look at its creation, revealing that the entire sculpture took roughly two months to complete.

HMA has now transformed the giant pigeon—previously large enough for visitors to pose beside—into a series of capsule toy figures. Rather than simply offering five color variations of the original pose, the collection features different poses and color schemes. One version modestly covers its chest with its wings, while others come in yellow and gray. Every figure preserves the sculpture’s round body, massive chest that nearly fills its entire front, and unmistakably clueless expression.
