Rockstar Games’ upcoming "Grand Theft Auto VI" will not only enhance crime, character interactions, and open-world details but also introduce a brand-new "Crime Profile" system. This system is designed to track the type of criminal players embody. According to YouTuber TGG, who attended a private preview, this system even includes an extreme mechanic where the meter can "collapse" if players continuously engage in unprovoked violence and chaos.

TGG reported that the "GTA 6" Crime Profile currently features four main stages: "Professional," "Aggressive," "Violent," and the lowest tier, "Psycho." However, there appears to be an additional, as-yet-unnamed special status beyond these.
When players exhibit extreme behavior over an extended period, the meter will gradually show cracks and eventually completely collapse. Rockstar explained to TGG that triggering this state is not easy and is primarily designed for players who explicitly choose to disregard the Crime Profile mechanism. Once the meter collapses, the system ceases to evaluate the player's subsequent actions, effectively disengaging from this moral evaluation system.

Notably, the Crime Profile doesn't simply count "how many people are killed." Instead, it assesses whether criminal actions occur within a logical context.
For example, if a player robs a store and kills someone who retaliates by shooting at them, it may not necessarily lower their rating. However, if they shoot an unarmed clerk without provocation or actively escalate a controllable situation into a bloody conflict, the Crime Profile will progressively shift towards more violent classifications.
Rockstar also aims to prevent this system from limiting player freedom, so notifications related to the Crime Profile can be disabled. Even if players decide to go on a rampage, they won't be constantly bombarded with system alerts or penalties. Furthermore, Jason and Lucia will each have their own independent Crime Profiles, allowing players to cultivate distinct playstyles for both characters.
It remains unclear whether this system will influence the storyline or even the ending, similar to "Red Dead Redemption 2"'s Honor system. However, based on current information, "GTA 6" is striving to make "how you commit crimes" an integral part of character development.
