MONDO, the renowned poster design and toy company, is celebrating the upcoming "MOTUFest 2026" – the annual Masters of the Universe fan event held from September 12-13, 2026, at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center – with an exciting new product reveal! They've unveiled the "Ice Armor He-Man & Fire Armor Skeletor" 1/12 Scale Articulated Figure Set, inspired by the early 2000s animated series "Masters of the Universe 200X." This dynamic duo will retail for $225 and will be available for pre-order exclusively on the MONDO SHOP website starting September 11 at 11:00 AM CT!
The two figures in this set are a reimagining of Mattel's original 2003 toys, updated with MONDO's distinctive aesthetic. The Ice Armor He-Man figure stands approximately 19 cm (7.5 inches) tall. It appears to utilize the same base body as the previously released "MOTU200X He-Man" from earlier this year, with new armor and accessories. The armor features more realistic and intricate details compared to the original, showcasing the frosty battle suit. The ice shards on his shoulder pads, Power Sword, round shield, and battle axe are crafted from translucent material with white paint applications, creating a chilling visual effect. Furthermore, the cape, the fur trim on his snow boots, and the battle skirt are all made from real fabric, adding a premium, realistic touch.
The Fire Armor Skeletor figure also stands approximately 19 cm (7.5 inches) tall. Like He-Man, it seems to adapt the base body from this year's "MOTU200X Skeletor" release, with updated armor. His abdominal sculpt is now integrated with the full body armor, and his battle skirt retains the iconic flame shape from the classic toy. The overall presence of the armor is more aggressive and imposing than the original design. Realistic textures on the armor are enhanced with translucent flame effects, creating a stark contrast to He-Man's frigid battle attire.
Ice Armor He-Man comes packed with a range of accessories, including two interchangeable head sculpts (neutral and angry expressions), four pairs of alternate hands, an Ice Power Sword, an Ice Battle Axe, an Ice Round Shield with a rotating function, and an Ice Staff. Fire Armor Skeletor's arsenal includes two interchangeable head sculpts (yellow and white versions), four pairs of alternate hands, a Flame Dagger, a Flame Sword, and his iconic Flame Havoc Staff. Both figures can be posed on a dedicated display base, allowing collectors to recreate epic battle scenes between the two arch-rivals!
