TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced the latest addition to its "ROBOT Spirits ver. A.N.I.M.E." line of robot action figures. The "Zock" from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" anime is slated for release in March 2027.
The MSM-10 Zock is an amphibious mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. Compared to contemporaries like the Z'Gok and Acguy, it boasts one of the largest body types, featuring heavy armor and a unique front-and-back symmetrical design to counter encirclement. It's equipped with four "Mega Particle Cannons" on both its front and rear, plus a "Phonon Maser Cannon" on its head, allowing for multi-directional firing. However, with a total weight of 229 tons, its legs are practically useless for terrestrial movement. The Zock relies on hovercraft systems and thermonuclear engine-assisted emergency jumps for mobility, primarily serving as a dedicated mobile artillery platform in specific environments within the series.
The "ROBOT Spirits Zock ver. A.N.I.M.E." figure is meticulously crafted based on the anime's refined, curved armor designs and proportions. Standing approximately 16.5 cm tall, it faithfully reproduces the Zock's heavy armor and the distinct forms of its "Mega Particle Cannons" and "Phonon Maser Cannon." The figure also incorporates extensive articulation. Each of its six yellow claws on both arms features three points of articulation.
The figure's body joints replicate the Zock's symmetrical front-and-back structure, allowing for rotation in both forward and backward directions. The head is equipped with an LED light-up feature, bringing the movable mono-eye camera to life. Accessories include a clear display stand and translucent red smoke effect parts, perfect for recreating scenes like deploying smoke screens underwater or depicting pre-explosion damage.
