Kotobukiya, the renowned Japanese model kit manufacturer, has announced the latest addition to its original assembly model kit series, "Megalomaria Unlimited Universe". The new product, "Emulator #3," is slated for release in January 2027.
The "Emulator" is a highly popular "Another" character within the "Megalomaria Unlimited Universe" series. While other "Another" characters typically feature inorganic, mechanical appearances, the Emulator possesses the unique ability to mimic the form of "Triggers" (humans). Its entire body is covered in artificial skin that closely resembles human flesh, and its facial features are remarkably similar to those of human characters. This latest release, "Emulator #3," specifically emulates the appearance of Ritsuka Saeki from "Sousai Shojo Teien" and Green Glass from "Megalomaria Unlimited Universe".
The "Megalomaria Unlimited Universe Emulator #3" features a ponytail hairstyle identical to Ritsuka Saeki's, rendered in a translucent milk tea color. For facial expressions, the kit includes two pre-painted movable-eye face parts, redesigned based on Ritsuka Saeki's likeness. These eye parts are UV printed, giving them a glass-like luster. Over 50% of the external armor is replaced with "Expanded Skin Parts Kai," molded in Skin Color A. This not only makes the model appear more human-like but also allows for costume interchangeability with other human characters.
The articulated body frame inherits the excellent design from previous releases, boasting a graceful, human-like physique and flexible articulation with approximately 50 points of movement. Key articulation features include deeply bending single-axis knee joints, independently movable knee armor, pull-out shoulder joints with multiple axes for extensive range, independently movable left and right hip joints, and hands that can bend inward nearly 180 degrees. The distinctive hip armor design offers two options: "left and right independent" or "integrated". This extensive articulation allows for a wide range of poses, from everyday scenes to dynamic, powerful stunt poses reminiscent of action films.
For weaponry, the kit includes "Expansion Armor E" parts in white and clear green, designed to mimic Green Glass's skirt armor. It also comes with the "Virtuous Style 02 Sword Set B," molded in green and clear green, which includes a rapier with a sheath and two ancient Chinese swords. These weapons can be combined with the highly articulated body to create elegant and dynamic combat stances.
