Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) officially revealed two limited edition PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controllers inspired by “Grand Theft Auto VI” during its latest State of Play presentation. These controllers will be available in black and white versions, launching alongside the game on November 19, 2026.
Both controllers draw design inspiration from "Vice City," the primary setting of "GTA 6." They feature a special color-shifting surface coating that changes hue with viewing angle, capturing the city's sunsets, coastal skies, and vibrant night neon. The controller grips are also embossed with a unique palm tree texture, complemented by the official "GTA 6" logo, offering both visual appeal and a distinct tactile experience compared to standard DualSense controllers.
The white version primarily evokes the daytime and early morning ambiance of Vice City, conceptualized with white sandy beaches, pastel skies, and a coastal resort feel. In contrast, the black version focuses on the city's nightlife, presenting a darker aesthetic with neon-like gradient reflections that embody Vice City's atmosphere after dusk.
Functionally, both controllers are identical to standard DualSense models. When playing "GTA 6," they will leverage haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to produce varying vibrations and resistance based on Jason and Lucia's in-game actions.
The "GTA 6" limited edition DualSense controllers will retail for $84.99 USD, ¥12,480 JPY, €84.99 EUR, and £74.99 GBP. Pre-orders are set to begin on September 10, 2026, with an official release date of November 19, 2026.
The white version will be available in limited quantities through PlayStation Direct and select retailers, while the black version will be sold exclusively via the official PlayStation Direct store in supported regions.
