After a 16-year hiatus, the "Meet the Parents" franchise is finally set to deliver its fourth installment, "Focker-in-Law," to fans later this year. Tonight, the second trailer and a new promotional poster (pictured below) were unveiled.
This installment sees John Hamburg, co-writer of the original trilogy, take over as both writer and director. The returning main cast includes Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson. New additions to the cast feature Eduardo Franco, Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo, and Ariana Grande.

The original title for this installment, "Focker-in-Law," still refers to Stiller's character's surname. Because "Focker" sounds similar to "Father," the official title playfully adds "in-Law" to evoke "Father-in-Law." Having previously been in the son-in-law position, Stiller's character now transforms into a difficult father-in-law in this film, clashing with Grande, who plays his son's fiancée. Grande's character, a strong-willed former FBI hostage negotiator, is certainly no pushover. The film is slated for a North American release on November 25, 2026, during the Thanksgiving holiday.
