According to an exclusive report from Deadline today, Netflix has decided to start fresh, moving forward with a new live-action "Dungeons & Dragons" series, "Ravenloft." "The Forgotten Realms" and "Ravenloft" are distinct campaign settings within the "Dungeons & Dragons" universe. The "Ravenloft" series will emphasize adventure, gothic horror, and tragic romance, chronicling the rise of the vampire Darklord Strahd von Zarovich. His story will delve into themes of power, love, obsession, and his transformation into an undead being, depicting his evolution from a tragic antihero to one of the most infamous villains in the "Dungeons & Dragons" cosmos.
