Gashapon Unveils Hashimoto Mio's Ultraman Kaiju Sculpture Vol. 4, Featuring the Fan-Favorite Jamila!

Bandai's Gashapon division has officially revealed the latest collaboration with renowned sculptor Hashimoto Mio: the "Hashimoto Mio's Ultraman Kaiju Sculpture Vol. 4" capsule toy series. Each capsule is priced at 800 JPY and is slated for release in late January 2027.

Sculptor Hashimoto Mio, whose studio is located in northern Mie Prefecture, Japan, primarily works with camphor wood. Her creations often feature real-world animals, both living and extinct, sculpted with gentle lines that convey a deep respect for life. In addition to her sculptures, she also creates illustrations and picture books.

Following the successful first, second, and third installments, "Hashimoto Mio's Ultraman Kaiju Sculpture Vol. 4" once again features four popular kaiju. This lineup includes the Uranium Monster Gabora, the Oil Monster Pestar, the Capsule Monster Miclas (who first appeared in "Ultraseven"), and the highly popular Planet-Dwelling Monster Jamila, recently celebrated by fans for his distinctive trapezius muscles! These figures boast a substantial size for capsule toys, standing approximately 8.6 to 9.3 centimeters tall. Though crafted from PVC, the prototypes meticulously replicate the soft, carved lines characteristic of Hashimoto Mio's work. Even the subtle wood grain and chisel marks are exquisitely reproduced. Coupled with a warm, wood-carved texture paint finish, these figures exude a unique and inviting atmosphere, offering a premium feel unlike typical collectibles. Collectors can display them alongside the 12 monsters from the previous three volumes to expand this distinctive collection!
