Bandai Spirits Collectors Division Tamashii Nations has announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) account that new product information for the popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series, featuring characters from the hit anime "My Hero Academia" (僕のヒーローアカデミア), will be revealed on September 17.
Created by manga artist Kohei Horikoshi, "My Hero Academia" is a modern shonen hero manga that ran from 2014 until its conclusion in 2024. The series has achieved immense popularity and widespread discussion globally, leading to adaptations into anime, novels, games, and various other derivative works, including, of course, toy lines. The S.H.Figuarts line, in particular, has been highly praised by collectors for its detailed later-stage character designs, with previous releases featuring popular characters such as Himiko Toga, Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, and Tomura Shigaraki.
Beyond confirming the reveal date of September 17 at 10:00 AM JST and its affiliation with the "My Hero Academia" series, the teaser provides no other clues. This complete lack of information means the next character could truly be anyone! Underneath the official announcement tweet, many fans have offered their predictions, with highly anticipated characters including All For One, Mirko, Armored Deku, Endeavor, Shota Aizawa, and Tsuyu Asui. This editor personally hopes for other Class 1-A members beyond the main trio and Ochaco Uraraka. While recent "My Hero Academia" S.H.Figuarts releases have focused on designs from the final arc, there's also the precedent of the recent All Might: Rising release, suggesting that earlier character designs are still a possibility. We eagerly await further announcements!
