BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under BANDAI SPIRITS, is set to release a new addition to its more detailed "MAXIMATIC PLUS" series, surpassing the "MAXIMATIC" line. The latest item, "MAXIMATIC PLUS KURAMA" from the popular anime "Yu Yu Hakusho," will be available as a prize figure in September 2026.
Kurama (くらま), a beloved character from "Yu Yu Hakusho," is a powerful Fox Demon with immense spiritual energy. Originally a notorious thief from the Demon World, he grew up in the human world under the identity of Shuichi Minamino. In his human form, Kurama is depicted as a handsome young man with red hair and green eyes, known for his excellent grades and gentle demeanor. When transformed into his demon fox form, Yoko Kurama, he sports long silver-white hair, golden eyes, a fox tail, and ears, exhibiting a more arrogant and cold personality. He wields various plants from the Demon World as weapons, most famously the Rose Whip, which is formed from a rose.
The "MAXIMATIC PLUS KURAMA" figure stands approximately 24 cm tall, capturing Kurama in the midst of his signature special move, the "Rose Whip Dance." The figure recreates the moment he holds a rose with petals gracefully falling. Pink translucent parts are utilized to depict the dynamic arcing effect of his whip, intertwining with the rose petals to elegantly highlight Kurama's beauty. His dignified expression exudes both elegance and coolness!
