HIYA Toys, under its "EXQUISITE BASIC Series," has announced its latest release: a non-scale 4.7-inch action figure of Mega Man, inspired by the video game "Mega Man 11: Gears of Fate!". Priced at $49.99, this figure is slated for a Q4 2027 release.
Released in October 2018, "Mega Man 11: Gears of Fate!" commemorated the Mega Man series' 30th anniversary. The game's narrative follows the villainous Dr. Wily as he once again attempts to destabilize peaceful robot society, utilizing the "Double Gear System" he created in his youth. He kidnaps eight robots to serve as his combat forces. To counter this threat, Dr. Light takes a significant risk, installing a prototype of Dr. Wily's own "Double Gear System" onto Mega Man. With the gears of fate turning once more, the question remains: can Mega Man thwart Dr. Wily's ambitions?
Standing approximately 12cm (4.7 inches) tall, the "EXQUISITE BASIC Mega Man" action figure faithfully recreates his appearance from "Mega Man 11: Gears of Fate!". It features his iconic silhouette, complete with classic blue coloring and streamlined armor that harks back to his original design. Extensive articulation throughout the figure allows for a wide range of dynamic combat poses seen in the game. Accessories include two interchangeable face plates and a hair piece to display Mega Man without his helmet. The removed helmet can also be posed as if he's holding it. The figure comes with six interchangeable hand parts and his classic weapon, the Mega Buster. The Mega Buster can be attached to his arm and features a built-in magnetic control light, activated by a HIYA logo magnetic badge, to illuminate the muzzle. This light offers three modes: flashing, constant glow, and breathing light, and can be combined with a shooting effect part to replicate his attack poses! Additionally, magnetic structures on the soles of his feet allow him to attach to metallic surfaces, and a dedicated display stand is included for various posing options.
