Hong Kong-based collectible giant Hot Toys has officially revealed their latest 1/6th scale collectible action figure: Thor, based on the upcoming Marvel Studios superhero film, "Avengers: Doomsday." A Deluxe Version will also be available, with pricing and release dates to be announced soon.
"Avengers: Doomsday" is slated as the fifth installment in the "Avengers" saga, with a projected release date of December 18, 2026, in the United States. This highly anticipated film promises not only the return of numerous familiar Avengers faces but also a crossover with the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Most notably, the original "Big Three" of the Avengers – Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and Chris Hemsworth, who continues his role as Thor – are all set to reunite on screen. Fans are eagerly speculating about the sparks this reunion will ignite!
Standing approximately 32 cm tall, the Hot Toys Thor 1/6th scale collectible figure features a meticulously sculpted head sculpt capturing Chris Hemsworth's battle-hardened and stoic likeness. The figure boasts individually rolling eyeballs and a special UV reflective effect, bringing Thor's piercing gaze to life. Utilizing a muscular body with seamless silicone arms, collectors can pose Thor in dynamic combat stances while maintaining natural body lines and texture. The bronze-colored discs on his armor are interchangeable with translucent blue lightning effects, which illuminate via an internal USB-powered LED light-up function. His signature red cape includes an embedded wire for dynamic posing and is also detachable. Thor comes equipped with his two iconic weapons, Stormbreaker and Mjølnir, both featuring LED light-up functions. These can be combined with an array of attachable lightning effects to recreate Thor's devastating power. A specially designed display base, emblazoned with the "Avengers: Doomsday" logo and character name, is also included.
