Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, who previously voiced the character of Spider-Man Noir in the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" franchise, returned to the role in live-action this past May for the Amazon Prime Video series "Spider-Noir." The show quickly captivated audiences and garnered significant industry recognition, landing an impressive 11 Emmy Award nominations this year, making it the most nominated series from Amazon Prime Video.

However, critical acclaim and fan adoration don't always guarantee a series' longevity. Amazon officially announced today that "Spider-Noir," which completed its first season, has been canceled and will not be renewed. This news comes just ahead of the Emmy Awards ceremony, scheduled for Monday, September 14th, leaving fans disappointed before the accolades can even be distributed.

Despite "Spider-Noir" receiving widespread praise, boasting a 92% critics' score and a 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, its viewership may not have been sufficient to secure a renewal.
