BANPRESTO, the prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, is set to release an exciting new product from the popular anime series "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End". Titled the "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Attach to Tissue! Action Figure ~It's Dark! It's Scary!~," this item comes in one variation, measuring approximately 8 cm tall and 9 cm wide. It is slated to appear sequentially as a prize item in Japan starting September 29, 2026.
Despite knowing the Mimic likely sets a trap, Frieren consistently falls for the temptation of rare grimoires hidden inside treasure chests. She repeatedly gets swallowed whole, with only her legs left dangling outside. From within, her cries of "It's dark! It's scary!" echo, making this recurring predicament one of the series' most iconic comedic moments.
This product ingeniously designs the Mimic and Frieren (with only her lower half visible) as an interactive mechanism. It mounts atop a tissue box, allowing tissues to dispense from the Mimic's back. Each time a tissue is pulled, an internal mechanism causes Frieren's legs to swing up and down, perfectly simulating her frantic struggle inside the Mimic's maw. It not only recreates a famous scene from the anime but also transforms the mundane act of pulling a tissue into an absurdly delightful experience.
