Thai emerging art collectible studio, SPIRAL STUDIO, has announced a new masterpiece under its "Legacy Series: Kenichi Tanaka Model Collection" – the "Godzilla (1954)" statue. Priced at $699.00 USD, this impressive collectible is slated for release in Q2 2027.

Returning to Godzilla's origins, Spiral Studio's latest offering, the "Legacy Series: Kenichi Tanaka Model Collection Godzilla (1954)," sees renowned Japanese sculptor Kenichi Tanaka reinterpret the original King of the Monsters through his unique artistic vision. This piece pays homage to the character that shaped the kaiju world, venturing into a more stylized artistic direction. While retaining elements reminiscent of Noriyoshi Ohrai's classic works, Tanaka-sensei's distinctive artistic flair is evident in the statue's proportions, pose, and overall sculpted form.

A meticulous nine-shade palette, ranging from ivory highlights and light grays to layered grays, graphite, and charcoal blacks, culminating in the deepest black, creates a stunningly realistic monochrome effect. This intricate coloring naturally brings out the shadows, textures, wrinkles, and every sculpted detail, faithfully recreating the visual characteristics of the original black-and-white film while delivering a level of realism and sophistication only achievable with modern painting techniques. Furthermore, one of the most technically challenging elements is Godzilla's dramatically raised tail. This massive tail has been ingeniously engineered to hover completely unsupported, a remarkably rare and exquisite design feat!
