American toy manufacturer Sideshow Collectibles recently revealed a new addition to their Premium Format statue line, created in collaboration with Warner Bros.: the "Severus Snape" 1/4 Scale Collectible Statue from the "Harry Potter" film series. Priced at $770 USD, this piece is now available for pre-order on Sideshow's official website, with an estimated shipping date in Q4 2027.
Severus Snape served as Potions Master, Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, and eventually Headmaster at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Throughout much of the story, he was portrayed as a sinister and biased antagonist. However, his true identity was that of a double agent, secretly placed by Dumbledore within Voldemort's ranks, often protecting Harry from the shadows. All his actions were ultimately driven by an enduring love for Harry Potter's mother, Lily.
This "Severus Snape" 1/4 Scale Collectible Statue stands approximately 51.3 cm (20.20 inches) tall, 21.7 cm (8.53 inches) wide, and 21.2 cm (8.36 inches) deep. It realistically captures the likeness of the legendary actor Alan Rickman, with finely sculpted details replicating the wrinkles and skin texture on his face, as well as the strands of his slicked-back hair. Posed in a dignified, upright stance with his wand in hand, he exudes a stern and solemn demeanor. His black robes are crafted from real fabric, creating a striking contrast with the pristine white shirt cuffs. Intricate details such as his black cravat, the pockets on his outer robe, and buttons are all exquisitely and realistically reproduced.
The base is inspired by the stone and oak architectural structures of Hogwarts Castle, featuring numerous moss-covered arches and pillars. Additionally, the circular base is engraved with the crests of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, allowing collectors to perfectly appreciate Snape's imposing and mysterious aura from every angle.
