Thanksgiving has long been a prime release window for animated features, and the streaming landscape is no different. This year, Netflix Animation is gearing up to launch its latest original film, "Steps," during the holiday season, having just dropped the teaser trailer and a new poster tonight.
The official synopsis teases: Think you know Cinderella's "evil" stepsisters? Think again. Tired of living in her stepsister Cinderella's shadow, Lilith steals the Fairy Godmother's wand. Alongside her sister Marg, she hijacks the royal ball, completely upending the classic Cinderella narrative. This chaos inadvertently paves the way for Priscilla to seize the throne, plunging the kingdom into tyranny.

Helming "Steps" are John Ripa, co-director of "Raya and the Last Dragon," and Alyce Tzue, making her feature directorial debut. The star-studded voice cast includes Ali Wong, Amanda Seyfried, Stephanie Hsu, Nikki Glaser, Peter Dinklage, Bette Midler, Daniel Radcliffe, and wrestler Damian Priest. The film is slated to premiere on Netflix on November 20.
