Chinese collectibles manufacturer Hobby Sakura has revealed the first painted prototype of its latest release from the open-world action RPG "Wuthering Waves," the Mornye 1/6 Scale Figure. The figure is scheduled for release in October 2027.
Mornye is a professor in the Department of Exostrider Engineering at Startorch Academy. Born without the ability to walk, she came to believe through her parents' arguments that she was a burden to those around her. She shut out the concern of her peers with silence, confining herself to a cumbersome wheelchair that felt like a cage. However, Mornye's exceptional academic performance and her Forte, which allows her to control machinery remotely with remarkable precision, soon caught the attention of Startorch Academy. During her studies, "that senior" helped push her beyond the narrow world she had known for years and into an entirely new one across the frostlands. "It's because we see the stars that humanity imagines what lies beyond the sky." After graduating, Mornye returned to Startorch Academy as a professor. Even after both of her legs were crushed during an experiment involving a Void Storm, she volunteered to be fitted with experimental prosthetics. Her goal is to build a starry sky for Lahai-Roi, illuminating the future with new hopes and dreams. One day, humanity will break through the Etheric Sea that cuts the world off from the universe—and choose its own sky.
Mornye 1/6 Scale Figure
Based on Mornye's official character artwork, the figure measures approximately 21 cm tall and 35 cm wide, bringing to life the scene of her sitting elegantly atop the Sky Projection Array while gazing up at the stars across the dome. Her mysterious, ethereal facial features are rendered with delicate sculpting, while translucent materials give her flowing hair a luminous appearance. Her outfit is packed with finely crafted details, including her white coat, faculty ID, metallic accessories, and the Modified Starstack above her head, all complemented by natural-looking folds and drapery. Elaborate paintwork and printed patterns reproduce the dazzling, star-like gradients and intricate designs seen throughout the original illustration.
Mornye's signature prosthetic legs use clear parts to capture their slender, graceful curves. Along with the Tacet Mark patterns printed across her thighs, the figure recreates the internal energy conduits, making it appear as though shimmering power is flowing from her hips all the way to her toes. The massive Sky Projection Array base also combines multiple materials with richly layered paint applications, highlighting its futuristic transparent cover, metallic housing, Spacetrek Collective logo, and other mechanical details.
