Japanese model maker Kotobukiya has teased a new articulated plastic model kit of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS mascot LUDENS. Preorders are scheduled to open on September 24 at 11:00 a.m. JST.
LUDENS is the official mascot of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Kotobukiya previously released a model kit featuring a BISHOUJO-inspired redesign of the character, while the prototype for this new version made its debut at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles this past July. Created to celebrate the studio’s 10th anniversary, the kit was developed under the full supervision of art director Yoji Shinkawa. Its sculpt faithfully captures the rounded, futuristic silhouette of LUDENS’ spacesuit, and Kotobukiya has also teased a newly tooled helmet accessory. Look closely at the preview images, and a flesh-toned face sculpt can be seen beneath the helmet.
