Hiya Toys is expanding its EXQUISITE BASIC line with a new Articulated Figure inspired by "Godzilla 2000: Millennium." The Godzilla (Infrared Version) will be available exclusively at Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai, taking place October 3–4, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Released in 1999, "Godzilla 2000: Millennium" marked Toho's return to the franchise following Hollywood's 1998 "Godzilla." The 23rd entry in the Godzilla film series also launched the Millennium series, introducing a redesigned King of the Monsters distinguished by his jagged purple dorsal fins. In the film, Godzilla battles Orga, an alien monster mutated after absorbing Godzilla's cells, in a brutal showdown in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Based on the official product images released so far, the Infrared Version appears to reuse the sculpt from the previously released standard version with an all-new color treatment. The sculpt captures the Millennium-era Godzilla's sharp silhouette, rugged skin texture, and massive open jaws. This edition recasts the entire figure in translucent icy-blue plastic, accented with saturated purple paint across the abdomen and dorsal area where its internal energy appears most concentrated, creating the look of Godzilla viewed through infrared imaging.
