MEDICOM TOY has unveiled the latest release in its 6-inch MAFEX action figure line: Neo from "The Matrix". Priced at 14,080 yen including tax, the Neo figure is scheduled for release in July 2027.
Thomas A. Anderson, better known as Neo, lives a double life as an engineer by day and a highly skilled hacker by night. His investigation into the strange inconsistencies of his world eventually leads him to discover the Matrix. With the help of his new allies, Neo learns that machines have conquered humanity and that the world he knows is actually a virtual prison designed to control the human mind. After uncovering the truth, Neo joins the resistance and trains to manipulate the rules of the simulated world, beginning his fight to free humanity from the Matrix.
Standing approximately 6.3 inches tall, the MAFEX Neo action figure was sculpted by Masato Ohata in collaboration with PERFECT-STUDIO. It recreates Neo's signature all-black outfit, complete with a fabric trench coat featuring an internal wire for dynamic, flowing poses. The coat can also be removed to replicate his alternate look. Three head sculpts capture a young Keanu Reeves, while the extensive accessory loadout includes a wide assortment of firearms, a mobile phone, interchangeable holster parts, and three iconic bullet-trail effect pieces. Combined with the included display stand, collectors can recreate Neo's legendary backward bullet-dodge and the moment he raises his hand to stop bullets in midair.
