BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division has announced the latest release in its popular die-cast "METAL BUILD" line. Based on "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 -STARGAZER-," the new "Strike Noir Gundam (20th Memorial Color)" is scheduled for release in March 2027.
GAT-X105E＋AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir Gundam combines the Strike E—an upgraded mobile suit developed from a reproduced and enhanced Strike Gundam under the Actaeon Project—with the Noir Striker, a new equipment pack derived from the I.W.S.P. Its voltage settings turn the suit’s Variable Phase Shift armor black, inspiring the name "Noir," the French word for black. Along with a heavily upgraded operating system, the mobile suit uses the Noir Striker’s articulated wings to deliver Freedom Gundam-like mobility in aerial combat. Its twin Beam Rifle Shorties, MR-Q10 "Fragarach 3" Beam Blades, and other weapons support a versatile mix of ranged and close-quarters tactics.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 -STARGAZER-," the "METAL BUILD Strike Noir Gundam (20th Memorial Color)" updates the paint scheme and revises the accessory lineup from the previously released version. Selected armor sections and firearms, including the high-energy beam rifles, feature adjusted black tones and gloss levels that more closely capture the mobile suit’s appearance in the anime.
Standing approximately 7.1 inches tall, the figure uses ABS, PVC, and die-cast parts. Its sharp, stylized proportions give the Strike Noir a more aggressive silhouette, while the metal joints provide smooth articulation and the substantial heft collectors expect from METAL BUILD. Extensive printed markings add another layer of dense, realistic mechanical detail. Mounted on the back, the Noir Striker features a sleek profile, multidirectional articulation, and deployment and separation gimmicks for recreating its various weapon configurations.
The two MR-Q10 "Fragarach 3" Beam Blades stored in the wings can be removed and fitted with beam effects for a dual-wielding combat pose. Also housed in the wings, the MAU-M3E4 Twin Linear Guns can rotate forward, while their barrels extend and deploy in a Freedom Gundam-inspired original firing configuration. Together, these features fully support both midrange and close-quarters combat displays. The figure is also compatible with separately sold Striker Pack releases, allowing collectors to equip weapons from packs such as the Sword Striker and Launcher Striker.
The accessory loadout includes left and right high-energy beam rifles with grenade launchers, two M8F-SB1 Beam Rifle Shorties, two anchor launchers, and a set of beam effects for the "Fragarach 3" Beam Blades. Newly sculpted hands designed specifically for the Beam Rifle Shorties allow for more dynamic shooting poses. Compared with the previous release, however, this edition omits the Strike Gundam-style 57mm High-Energy Beam Rifle and two beam sabers.
TAMASHII NATIONS also teased the partial silhouette of its next backpack release. The image strongly suggests the Multiple Assault Striker used to form the Perfect Strike Gundam in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED HD Remaster."
