The hit musical comedy-drama "Glee," which ran from 2009 to 2015, remains a cherished favorite for viewers around the world. However, the deaths of several prominent cast members have cast a long shadow over the series. Cory Monteith died from mixed alcohol and heroin toxicity, Mark Salling later died by suicide, and Naya Rivera drowned, making any potential revival involving the original cast especially complicated.

Still, "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy, pictured above, has not given up on bringing the series back. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Murphy revealed that a script for new episodes has already been completed. He said he had finished it just an hour before the interview and confirmed that he, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan—the writing team behind the show’s first two seasons—worked on the material together. Murphy added that he has remained in contact with roughly 10 members of the original cast. While they had plenty of questions, he said they were all enthusiastic about the idea. None of the actors have read the script yet, so Murphy acknowledged that the project may not ultimately move forward. For now, he plans to write a couple of episodes and see how people respond, particularly the cast, given how close they became while making the original series.
