Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce "Injustice 3," but as leaks continue to pile up, the sequel’s roster may have surfaced early. According to information uncovered by MP1st, the game could feature both Supergirl and Batwoman as playable fighters.
Supergirl’s return would hardly come as a surprise, given her major role in 2017’s "Injustice 2." Batwoman is the far more intriguing addition, as the leak would mark her first playable appearance in a mainline "Injustice" game.
Her inclusion would also raise a major story question. Kate Kane’s Batwoman died in the canonical "Injustice" comics, meaning the sequel could have someone else take up the mantle—or reveal that Kate never truly died, allowing NetherRealm to rewrite the established continuity.
MP1st also floated another possibility: "Injustice 3" may not continue the story of the first two games at all, instead opting for a full or partial reboot. NetherRealm has reset the "Mortal Kombat" timeline multiple times before, and with nearly a decade having passed since "Injustice 2," a similar overhaul would not be out of the question.
Warner Bros. has yet to confirm that the sequel exists, though rumors have long suggested NetherRealm is developing another "Injustice" game. Studio chief Ed Boon also confirmed in May 2026 that the team was pursuing another "Mortal Kombat" title, reigniting speculation over which of NetherRealm’s two flagship fighting franchises will return first.
The original "Injustice" launched in 2013, followed by its sequel in 2017. If the latest leak proves accurate, Supergirl’s return, Batwoman’s roster debut and a potential continuity reset could all become major talking points when the new game is finally unveiled.
