Kaiyodo has unveiled the latest release in its popular articulated figure line, "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI". Based on the ninja action-adventure game "NINJA GAIDEN 2," the new "Ryu Hayabusa Bloodstained Ver." is scheduled to go on sale through Kaiyodo's directly operated stores beginning October 3, 2026.
The solitary super ninja "Ryu Hayabusa" is the legendary hero of Koei Tecmo's "NINJA GAIDEN" franchise. He has also made guest appearances in games from other genres, including "Dead or Alive" and the "Warriors" series. As a modern-day super ninja who inherited the ancient arts of the Hayabusa Clan, this descendant of the Dragon Lineage is destined to battle the forces of evil. Along with powerful techniques such as Inferno, Wind Blades, and the Izuna Drop, Ryu is a master of the Dragon Sword, bows, staffs, the Kusari-gama, and a wide range of other weapons throughout the "NINJA GAIDEN" series.
"AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Ryu Hayabusa Bloodstained Ver." reworks the previously released standard version with extensive blood-splatter paint effects across the entire figure. The grisly deco captures Ryu drenched in his enemies' blood after a brutal battle. Even the Dragon Sword, Kusari-gama, and Falcon's Talons feature bloodstained finishes, driving home the super ninja's lethal combat prowess.
Based on Ryu's appearance in "NINJA GAIDEN 2," the figure was sculpted by renowned Kaiyodo artist Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. Standing approximately 170 mm tall, it faithfully recreates his muscular build, high-tech black ninja suit, and metallic armor. Revoltech joints and specially engineered articulation in the scarf, shoulders, and lower legs allow for a wide range of dynamic ninja poses. The movable eyes can also be adjusted to give Ryu a razor-sharp glare as he locks onto his next enemy.
